Gum Tree House, Kyabram, Victoria

Objectives

To develop personally as an artist through learning from and interacting with other artists.

Experiment with new skills and techniques that will enable me to achieve diverse effects in my work.

Develop a discussion with the viewer concerning mans’ interaction with the environment and each other.

Background

I initially trained as an arts teacher in the late 60’s and taught arts programs full time for several years. During my teaching career I remained very interested in the arts enjoying visiting exhibitions where ever my travels take me. I have constructed the “Little Red Shed” in which I now have my own personal workspace.

Aims and objectives

Most of my work at present has been concerned with the impact humans have on nature and the reverse - nature changing human behaviour.

I am interested in using multimedia in my work, combining collage, pastel, paint and textiles. I enjoy the learning and self- discovery as I wade on, as I know there is no end point in learning.
