Lynne

Making Space, physically and mentally, for art is important to me as painting and drawing is my obsessive passion. To make space and share creative exchange and art discussion with other artists is an added bonus. In the natural environment of the King Billy Retreat, the “Making Space” day was invigorating as we had time to immerse ourselves in all of this , exploring new ideas AND sharing delicious fare.

I spent most of the day recording it photographically. I joined in the workshop to dye a scarf in natural dyes, drew on the drawing wall with ochres and generally soaked up the environment and the energy of the day, which culminated in me spending the next four days producing an ink drawing as my response to our gathering.

My favourite part of the day was being in the company of Splinter Contemporary Artist members. After 17 years I never tire of participating with this wonderful art group.
